About

Don has been making knives since 2013. His interest was originally sparked when he made knives in high school shop class.

Don specializes in kitchen knives. While he usually has the most requests for a chef's knife, a paring knife, and a fine-tipped paring knife, he also makes Wabocho and small deba knives as well.

One thing he wants people to know about his business is that his knives are handmade, all the way from raw materials to a finished product. He does the majority of this work by hand using high quality materials. It takes around 20-25 hours in physical work for one knife. He loves exotic burled wood for its grain patterns, and uses it in all of the handles of his knives. He says different shapes of knives and handles can be more difficult than others, some are more work intensive.

While he is beginning to make hunting knives, he still loves kitchen knives the most and enjoys making them the most.

His goals are to improve his skills as much as possible, as well as branching out to other types of knives, and hopes to eventually create the double edged knife dagger, which earns you the title of master bladesmith. He hopes to grow his business and be able to expand his work shop as well.
